Today was a half day. In class we took notes and held a discussion introducing Feudalism. Feudalism was a system in which lords and serfs entered into a contract whereby lords agreed to give protection and land for farming to serfs in exchange for a portion of thier crops/goods and labor/services. The system worked because both lords and serfs received something of value to them.
